Hello, my shadow darlings!
August feels like the breath before the plunge. You know, the still hush before the storm breaks. Outside, the world is sweltering, but in my writerβs cave, I am stepping into shadows, fields of glowing crimson blooms, and high stakes.
My writing sessions are fueled by far too much matcha and a gothic playlist for the vibes. Itβs been fun writing a story not part of a long series, it gives me more freedom to explore Urn and new characters. Iβm am especially loving all the pivotal Rune-and-Alora moments. The kind where love feels like war, and war feels like love.
Fun fact: Rune refuses to say βI love youββ¦ but the way he acts? Obvious. Pathetic. Ferally devoted. (I canβt wait for you to witness it.)

Letβs talk about Runeβs hand placement. The possessiveness. The reverence. The way his claws dig into her like heβs holding the last star in a collapsing galaxy. And Alora? Soft but unyielding, tangled in shadows and silk, cradling a monster like she was born to because she was.
