KING’S KISS is Coming to Audio!
Hi my loves,
Fall is finally here! 🍂🧡☕️
It’s my favorite season, and after the summer I’ve had, I’m especially looking forward to cooler weather, changing leaves, cozy days at home, and all the little things that make this time of year feel magical.
I did manage to squeeze in a vacation to Washington this summer. The sights were beautiful! We stayed in a cabin in the woods and it was a dream. I got to reconnect with nature, visit the city, and the islands. This only confirmed I am so ready to move back to the Pacific North West. The rainy forests are calling to me.
Unfortunately, my vacation had to be cut short because I broke my ankle again. The same ankle, because apparently once wasn’t enough. 🥲 I’m choosing to take that as a sign that I need to work on my strength training. I admit, I was pretty bummed by the whole thing, but the universe has made it up to me!
I somehow became a mother to three tiny orphaned kittens. They are adorable little floofs stealing all my love and attention.
It’s been an interesting summer, I got some beautiful pictures, made some wonderful memories, expanded my family, healing is going well, and now I have plenty to look forward to as fall rolls in.
Speaking of exciting things on the horizon...

Thank you so much for continuing to support Rune and Alora’s story. I can’t wait for you to hear them brought to life. 🖤
At last, all editions of King’s Kiss are out in the world and I can officially say, The Chronicles of Urn series is now finished. I had once envisioned two additional books, but as the series evolved, I realized Rune and Jökull’s stories brought The Chronicles of Urn to exactly the ending it needed. The gods have found their mates, and their stories feel complete.
And if I am being honest, I think my heart belongs with epic fantasy.
That being said, this doesn’t mean we won’t see Rune and Jökull again. Who knows, they might make a surprise appearance in Guardains of the Maiden one day. 😌
For now, I am blessing you with a King’s Kiss bonus chapter. A glimpse at what comes after happily ever after for Rune, Alora, and the little shadow princess they are destined to raise.
(This bonus chapter originally appeared in the white exclusive edition of King’s Kiss and it has been expanded.)
So a question I am getting a lot now…
When is Wicked Storm coming?
Well, the answer is sometime [hopefully] in 2027. If the chaotic releases for King’s Kiss and Rising Dawn were any indication, I clearly need to work at a more manageable pace and hold off announcing release dates until the book is well and ready.
I tend to write long detailed epics with complicated characters on epic journeys and tend to take time. But I also need to take the time to take care of myself.
Recently, I have realized I’ve forgotten what it felt like to be a reader. To be the young girl who used to come home from the library with a duffel bag full of books just eager to get lost in a new world. I have been so busy with being an author that I haven’t given myself the time to simply read for the fun of it.
Beck’s goals for the remainder of 2026 are to read at least one book a month, spend more time with my family, to step out of my cave, and live in the moment.
Because the best inspiration has always come from life.
So I will take a break the rest of the year to simply rest and heal. It doesn’t mean I won’t do any drafting for Wicked Storm, but I will certainly take it day by day with no pressure.
It is coming, my dears. I already have the finished covers waiting for the day I finally reveal them.
With all my love,
xoxo ❤
Beck
